Choice Hotels expands economy offering

Choice Hotels Australasia has secured three further Econo Lodge properties following an aggressive acquisition strategy to expand the economy brand across Australia.

The most recent additions to Choice Hotels’ Econo Lodge portfolio include Econo Lodge Rusty’s Gladstone (QLD), Econo Lodge Murwillumbah (NSW) and Econo Lodge Alabaster (NSW).

With no sign the demand for affordable rooms is slowing, Choice Hotels plans to focus future investment on providing even more accommodation options for cost conscious business travellers and holidaymakers.

In New South Wales, Choice Hotels now boast two valuable additions to its stable. The 3½ star Econo Lodge Murwillumbah is the ideal base from which to explore the stunning Tweed Valley and features 31well-appointed rooms for business and leisure travel. Similarly the 3½ star Econo Lodge Alabaster located just a ten minute walk from the city centre of Cowra offers sweeping rural views from its 16 spacious standard and deluxe self-contained rooms.

The value conscious traveller will be suitably impressed with Econo Lodge Rusty’s located in the heart of Gladstone, the centre of the Southern Great Barrier Reef. The 3½ star, 23 room property provides visitors with access to facilities including an onsite café, restaurant, outdoor pool and BBQ area, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed stay.

Launched in Australia in 2009 in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis, Econo Lodge is Choice Hotels’economy brand, trusted for its strong reputation for affordability and convenience. There are Econo Lodge properties operating across New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Queensland. In addition, it boasts three properties in New Zealand, bringing the total to 28 hotels.
