Google marketing research branch Think with Google has unveiled a travel dashboard that it plans to update quarterly with data and relevant statistics for tourism and accommodation brands.
While the information is currently collected from US-only data, it provides some valuable insight on millennials and other factors that Australian brands may also find useful when planning campaigns.
Google noted: “Wherever travellers go, they’re online. Whether planning a trip, navigating a new city, or sharing vacation memories, they turn to the web, using whatever device is at hand. This has completely reshaped the path to purchase, creating many moments of intent.
“The Google data in this dashboard, updated each quarter, provides a glimpse into these moments. Discover trends across the car rental, air, and hotel categories so you can plan for the season ahead.”
