Kennigo Hotel: Rebranded Independent Collection by Event
Entertainment Limited (EVENT) has announced the latest addition to its expanding portfolio of independent hotels, under the Independent Collection by EVENT, with the group securing the management agreement for the previously branded Mantra Richmont Hotel Brisbane.
Kennigo Hotel Brisbane will go live on EVENT and third-party channels before the end of June for bookings and stays from July 27, 2021, with the hotel sitting under the Independent Collection’s Style pillar.
This new agreement comes on the back of rapid growth and marks the tenth property to be secured under the Independent Collection. The growth is testament to the Group’s vision to harness new opportunities and leverage its expertise beyond owned brands to grow, while offering even greater flexibility for hotel owners.
Kennigo Hotel Brisbane features 107 modern and stylish rooms with original wall art, and floor-to-ceiling windows with city or courtyard views, as well as rooms with balconies, patios and a rooftop terrace. Amenities include an exercise room, a patio area, event space and a new restaurant and bar (in development).

Under the stewardship of EVENT’s leading culinary team, the Group will also lead the development of a new food and beverage concept, taking the beautifully restored former boarding house on the property and launching a new local dining concept, with details to be announced at a later date.
An announcement regarding the general manager for the property will be made in the coming weeks.
