Reflections invests 1.5m in tiny homes and glamping glamour

New facilities at Byron Bay and Lennox Head boost for regional economy

Right on cue for its busiest summer period in the post-COVID environment, Reflections Holiday Parks has enhanced its overall NSW North Coast inventory with the introduction of six new tiny homes at Reflections Byron Bay and four glamping tents and two bell tents at Reflections Lennox Head.

The tiny homes, the result of a $1.01 million investment, are located on Byron Bay’s famous Clarkes Beach in a rainforest setting,  and offer accommodation for two people, come complete with modern conveniences and spacious decks.

The new glamping precinct and bell tents at Lennox Head Reflections Holiday Park follow a $487,185 upgrade.

Each of the glamping tents offer room for four campers with a spacious queen and a bed nook with two single beds, air conditioning, a kitchenette, an ensuite and a private balcony bathtub.

The two-man bell tents come complete with a luxe queen bed.

Funding for both projects stems from a $22 million loan  provided to Reflections by the NSW Government as part of a move to improve facilities at its Crown land holiday parks and help boost regional tourism.

Reflections Holiday Parks’ CEO, Nick Baker, said Reflections’ purpose is to maximise the economic and social benefit for the local community.

“So we don’t build restaurants or resorts within our parks,” he said.

“Instead, we encourage our guests to support local cafes, restaurants, shops and tour operators, and get to know the wonderful people and natural treasures that make Byron Bay so special.”

“Reflections Byron Bay welcomes more than 54,041 visitors each year, contributing $3.8 million to the region’s economy. This upgrade will attract about 10,512 more visitors, injecting a further $375,000 into the local economy each year.

“Reflections Lennox Head welcomes more than 77,208 visitors each year, contributing almost $3 million to the region’s economy. This upgrade will attract about 14,892 more visitors, injecting a further $250,632 into the local economy each year,” he said.
