Ovolo Hotels marks International Dog Day with limited edition V.I.Pooch Package
This year, Saturday, August 26 is International Dog Day- a day to celebrate man’s best friend.
Established in 2004 by American pet and family lifestyle advocate Colleen Paige, the national celebration has since grown to include international audiences.
The aim of International Dog Day is to raise awareness about adopting animals who are currently in shelters, and ensuring all dogs live a safe, happy, and abuse-free life.

To celebrate the occasion, Australia’s leading dog-friendly designer hotel collection, Ovolo Hotels, has announced a limited edition extension of its V.I.Pooch Package.
The package, available to book from Saturday, 26 August, includes amenities and treats from Tasty Paws and Fuzzhous with stays available from Friday, 1 September – Thursday, 30 November 2023.
To celebrate the spirit of International Dog Day, Ovolo will be donating $5 from each V.I.Pooch package to the Sydney Dogs & Cats Home, helping rehabilitate and rehome lost and abandoned animals in Sydney.
“Being the first hotel collection to embrace man’s best friend in Australia, our V.I.Pooch offering has been extremely popular and continues to be,” Ovolo Group Director of Marketing Stephen Howard said.
“We’re excited to raise the bar and treat our furry friends like rock stars with an enhanced offering for a limited period partnering with Tasty Paws and Fuzzhous and doing a little bit for those in need with Sydney Dogs & Cats Home who do such great work!”
