Colin McClean has been named the General Manager of QT Wellington, bringing with him over 18 years of experience in the New Zealand hotel industry.

McClean is known for his expertise in commercial strategy and operational excellence. His dynamic leadership style has resulted in exceptionally high employee engagement and a track record of team development and success. His properties have garnered recognition for Best Marketed Establishment, Best Luxury Hotel, and Best Hotel at the NZ Hospitality Awards for Excellence.

Expressing his excitement about the appointment, he said: “As the market prepares for new heights across business and leisure, I’m excited to embark on this new chapter, both personally and for the hotel. With a keen eye for brand, I’m ready to lead with a unique ability to cultivate a thriving environment in line with the uniqueness of QT.”

Before joining EVT, McClean built his career in hospitality with global brands such as Accor and SkyCity, gaining extensive experience in hotel openings and transformations.

Jodi Brown assumes the role of General Manager at QT Auckland, bringing her award-winning expertise and leadership to the luxury hotel. With a background in the hospitality industry, Brown has held notable positions at QT Wellington and the Museum Apartment Hotel before transitioning to QT Auckland.

Reflecting on her new role, Brown said: “As our flagship property in New Zealand, the team know how to bring the QT brand to life.
