From SKYE Suites to One Global Resorts: Iwan Sunito introduces luxe rebranding and new Conference Centre
Set to open Conference Centre at Infinity Green Square as One Global Conference
In a bold move to elevate luxury accommodation in Sydney, Iwan Sunito, Chairman and Group CEO of One Global Capital, has rebranded his acclaimed SKYE Suites Green Square hotel under a new identity: One Global Resorts.
The rebranded urban oasis aims to set a new standard in luxury, incorporating enhanced guest experiences and modern elegance.
As part of this rebranding, One Global Capital also revealed plans to launch the One Global Conference Centre, a state-of-the-art venue at Green Square’s iconic Infinity development.
The SKYE Suites transformation is part of a larger vision to develop a luxury hotel chain starting at Green Square and followed by other premier locations, such as Macquarie Park.
According to Mr. Sunito, the rebrand aligns with the hotel’s high-end approach, appealing to both local and international visitors with luxury touches similar to top global hotels.
“We’re taking SKYE Suites to the next level under our new brand, ‘One Global Resorts,’” Sunito explained. “It’s about bringing a fresh, luxury experience that resonates with international standards.”
The rebranding capitalises on the hotel’s premium reputation, drawing substantial mid-week and weekend occupancy rates above 90 percent. Known for hosting guests from the popular TV show Married at First Sight.
The newly named One Global Resorts Green Square offers exclusive serviced apartments, featuring unique architecture, an infinity-edge pool, heated spa, and luxury cabanas.
Quercy Jouannes, General Manager of One Global Resorts Green Square, noted a successful recent surge in occupancy, closing October with an impressive 97.8 percent. “Our location attracts a diverse mix of corporate and leisure travellers, and we regularly host production teams for extended stays,” he said, adding that the hotel’s strategic position near Moore Park and Sydney’s entertainment quarter is a major draw for long-term guests.
One Global Conference Centre to redefine meeting experiences
Adding to the excitement is the announcement of the One Global Conference Centre, a $20 million, 650-seat facility positioned to become Sydney’s leading venue for premium conferences.
Slated for a mid-2025 opening, the conference centre will offer unparalleled “plug and play” technology, with AV capabilities catering to large corporations seeking advanced livestreaming and minimal setup times. It will accommodate up to 1200 guests standing, making it ideal for high-profile events by tech giants like Google and Microsoft.
Sunito described the new centre as Australia’s “most technically advanced” conferencing space, combining convenience with top-tier functionality.
The Infinity precinct itself has become a landmark with its looped architectural layout and striking design, earning global acclaim as one of the world’s best architectural projects in 2017.
As part of a forward-thinking vision, One Global Capital’s transformation of SKYE Suites Green Square into One Global Resorts reinforces Sunito’s ongoing contributions to Sydney’s urban development.
From Crown Group’s Waterfall in Waterloo to Arc in the Sydney CBD, One Global Capital continues to shape the city’s skyline. Now, with a fresh brand identity and an ambitious conference centre underway, One Global Capital cements its role as a pioneer in Sydney’s luxury and conference market.
