Beautiful, liveable spaces: TFE Hotels unveils the newly refurbished Adina Town Hall
This transformation introduces a stylish and spacious retreat that blends timeless elegance with modern convenience
Sydney’s accommodation landscape has welcomed a refreshed icon with the grand reopening of Adina Town Hall, an elegantly reimagined apartment hotel designed to offer contemporary comfort in the heart of the CBD.
Part of TFE Hotels’ revitalisation of first-generation Adina Hotels, this transformation introduces a stylish and spacious retreat that blends timeless elegance with modern convenience.

Designed by acclaimed architectural firm Bates Smart, the newly refurbished 144-room Adina Town Hall seamlessly merges form and function to deliver an elevated stay experience for business and leisure travellers alike.
“We wanted the rooms at Adina Town Hall to feel like a home away from home,” said Brenton Smith, Interior Design Director at Bates Smart.
“In the layouts, we opted for simple solutions that are attractive, like removing walls and joinery and adding portals to create height and visual focal points.”
Smith highlighted the use of soft, high-quality materials that evoke the warmth of an upmarket apartment. “Less is definitely more with these designs,” he added. “And the result is a space that exudes elegance and makes guests feel at home.”
A new standard in apartment-style living
The redesign extends beyond individual guest rooms to create a welcoming, lounge-style lobby that enhances the guest experience. Strong focal points, curved furniture, and bespoke joinery soften the geometry, crafting an inviting space that encourages relaxation.
This approach has already been met with positive feedback from guests, according to TFE Hotels’ Regional General Manager, Emma Soutter. “The kitchen is the heart of the home, and Bates Smart has designed spaces where guests can entertain, relax, and feel at ease, whether in their apartment or in the hotel’s lobby lounge,” she said. “It’s an approach that is really resonating with our guests.”
Adina Town Hall is the latest addition to TFE Hotels’ growing portfolio of elevated Adina properties, joining the likes of Adina Pentridge Melbourne and Adina Geneva. The transformation also aligns with recent refurbishments at Adina Melbourne on Flinders and Adina Chippendale in Sydney, with Adina Darling Harbour next in line for a refresh.

Prime location and elegant living
Situated in a prime location, Adina Town Hall is within walking distance of Sydney’s most famous landmarks, including Darling Harbour, the International Convention Centre, the Queen Victoria Building, and Sydney Tower. A stone’s throw from the historic Clock Tower of Sydney Town Hall, this apartment hotel offers guests an unbeatable blend of convenience, comfort, and style.
