The accolade comes from more than 125,000 readers across the United Kingdom who submitted their ratings of travel experiences worldwide, offering insight into the destinations they are most eager to revisit. As the longest-running and most respected awards in the travel industry, the Readers’ Choice Awards are considered the ultimate symbol of excellence.

Laura Proctor, General Manager of Halcyon House, expressed her pride in the achievement: “We are honoured to be acknowledged once again in this prestigious publication. To be ranked the No. 3 hotel in Australasia is wonderful, and the fact that it’s voted by readers makes it even more special. It takes a dedicated team to deliver outstanding guest experiences, who go above and beyond to welcome our guests back time and time again. This accolade is a testament to their professionalism.”

Halcyon House, once a surfer’s motel, has transformed into a multi-award-winning, 22-room boutique hotel. Located just 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast Airport and 30 minutes north of Byron Bay, the hotel is owned by Brisbane-based sisters Siobhan and Elisha Bickle. The property’s acclaimed poolside restaurant, Paper Daisy, adds to its charm, offering a dining experience that highlights the region’s freshest produce and celebrated coastal cuisine.
