Central Brunswick Apartment Hotel

Are you wondering where to stay in Brisbane but you don’t want to face the traffic and maddening crowds? Central Brunswick Apartment Hotel in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley welcomes you into affordable accommodation in a great location with family friendly service.

Individually owned and furnished, 43 one-bedroom — one for the disabled — and 11 studio apartments are ready and waiting for you. Whether you travel by bus, train or car, everything you need is on hand or close by. After a twenty minute drive from the airport, you can safely leave your car, for ten dollars per night, in undercover secured parking within the complex.

Ken Rae, director of Okapi Investments P/L, operators of Central Brunswick Apartments and Evolution Apartments, said he and his family have been managing the complex since August 2007.

“We normally cater to corporate clients, however, for business or pleasure this is an ideal spot for anyone wanting to have easy access to the Brisbane CBD, as well as the valley and explore the many and diverse activities, especially during the busy Brisbane show season.’

Short and long stay guests are welcome and there are excellent rates for week long stays.

“We advertise in some magazines, such as Lotl magazine, as one of the many gay-friendly hotels, especially for the Mardi gras recovery week,’ said Mr Rae.

Many of the self-catering and self-contained apartments have been recently refurbished giving a very fresh environment. Most rooms have balconies. The apartments are serviced daily by a contracted housekeeping and cleaning company.

New general manager, Jason Isbester, started on October 18 2010. Jason was recently featured in the Sunshine Coast Daily newspaper, when, as general manager of BreakFree Noosa International for the last ten months, he successfully administered first aid to a six week old baby. Jason and his staff had recently updated their first aid course, which gave him the skills to manage the situation well.

Guests can rest assured that they are in good hands at Central Brunswick as all staff are trained in first aid and emergency evacuation procedures.

Born in Darwin, 27 year old Jason has already had a wealth of experience in a diversity of accommodation complexes. Starting his hospitality career at MGM Grand Casino Darwin where he worked for two years, Jason left there eight years ago to work at Quest Apartments in Newcastle then headed to Queensland six years ago.

After working in property management in Brisbane for several years Jason headed north to the Sunshine Coast where he worked at Noosa North Shore Resort & Beach Road Holiday Homes. He was general manager at BreakFree Marcoola Beach for eighteen months before moving on to BreakFree Noosa International as general manager. From the city to the surf and back again, Jason is looking forward to working with the committed staff at Central Brunswick Apartments.

Mr Rae said his wife Maureen, daughter Nicole and son Ryan, all work at the complex. The three reception staff have been there from one to four years and have no plans of leaving yet.

“We make time to share with guests and visiting owners, which gives Central Brunswick Apartment Hotel a comfortable relaxed environment in today’s very busy world,” said Mr Rae.
