Whitsunday Vista Resort

Whitsunday Vista Resort – family owned and operated – by resident managers, Karen and Henry McDermott. The McDermott’s purchased the management rights to the property on the 11th of September 2008. As their first management rights property, the first few months over Christmas were not only extremely busy for Karen and Henry but it were also a steep learning curve.

When asked what attracted them to the management rights industry and more particularly, Whitsunday Vista Resort, Henry said, “We nearly bought into management rights five years ago and then we changed our minds. But then we decided to give it a go.”

Karen said, “Well, we certainly didn’t enter the industry for the lifestyle!

And we picked Whitsunday Vista Resort because of its location to the new marina and we could see it’s huge potential.”

In the short six months they have been there, the McDermott’s have already implemented numerous changes and have put even more plans in the pipeline for the future.
