HotelsWorld Australia New Zealand, an industry gathering for CEOs and other decision makers, returns in July 2016 bigger and better than ever with 5 consecutive events in 3 days.

1. Fresh, fast, focussed

Some events never seem to change – same speakers and same topics, every year. But HotelsWorld is different because it’s a suite of bespoke events that we design each year to focus on fresh issues, people and opportunities in the world of guest accommodation. In 2016, HotelsWorld will again demonstrate this commitment by introducing not only new topics and speakers, but also three brand new events, all designed to help our esteemed audience keep up to date on the changing world of guest accommodation. It’s why HotelsWorld is a world apart from other events.

2. More speakers and more sessions than any other event…. by far!

Over 130 speakers from all parts of the world will take the stage in Sydney at HotelsWorld in 2016, making it by far the largest cast of industry leaders and experts ever to appear on the stage at an accommodation event in Australia, and one of the largest industry events in the world. Speakers will cover an unprecedented 40 topics, covering a world of diverse hotel sectors, accommodation types and issues. Our rule is that speakers only take to the stage once and sessions don’t exceed 30 minutes, so the events remain fast paced and audience interest is maintained.

3. Future driven programs for a future driven audience

At HotelsWorld a key goal is to present insight on the future of the accommodation industry and the people who will take it there. Which is why in addition to current industry CEO’s and other leaders, our speaker roster also features so many younger and emerging leaders. In 2016, over half of our speakers will have never been seen before on the stage at an industry event in Australia – and we have even included an event called NEXT that is exclusively devoted to future leaders and the pathway to leadership.

4. Women in management

Like in other parts of the world women in this region are significantly under-represented in hotel management, and in turn in hotel conference speaking roles. Which is why in 2016, HotelsWorld has focussed on bringing more women in the industry into session speaking roles. It’s a big improvement on the gender mix typically seen at industry events, but there’s still a long way to go and at HotelsWorld we are committed to getting there.

5. It’s your time, you choose

From almost two decades of designing and running industry events we know that people have different interests in attending them. Some delegates are focussed on the learning experience or in stimulating ideas, whilst others are more interested in networking opportunities.
