Furama Hotels International sets foot in Australia with Darling Harbour launch
This move marks FHI's expansion into the Australian market and the rebranding of the existing Holiday Inn Darling Harbour
Singapore-based hospitality company Furama Hotels International (FHI) is set to launch its first Australian hotel, Furama Darling Harbour, in Sydney on July 1, 2024.
This move marks FHI’s expansion into the Australian market and the rebranding of the existing Holiday Inn Darling Harbour, which FHI has owned but not operated for over two decades.

New flagship property in Darling Harbour
Furama Darling Harbour Hotel Manager, Melvin Lim, said the milestone Furama Darling Harbour opening is the next major step in growing the award-winning chain of mid-range hotels in key new markets across the Asia Pacific region.
“We are very excited to introduce the Furama brand to Australia for the first time,” Mr Lim said. “As our inaugural address under our flagship four-star brand, the Furama Darling Harbour signals an exciting new chapter of expansion for the group in this region, as we look to bring our guests a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.”
