The Breakers

Eight years since taking over at The Breakers, the Stephens are still there and during this time they have achieved so much in and out of the property.

Lyn said, “Recently we have had the building repainted. It is a totally different colour scheme to what it was and is now more modern and up-to-date in more fashionable tones.

We have also upgraded the foyer that certainly has freshened up and made the entry to the building more inviting. We seem to be constantly doing things. A lot of the apartments have now been totally renovated and refurnished. We installed hardwired broadband in each apartment about three years ago and changed all the TVs to LCD. The new technology was just a natural progression to keep abreast with the times and keep guests coming back.

Michael and I have also ventured into other management rights properties in the past five years, expanding our business portfolio.”

When Michael and Lyn first ventured into management rights they were fresh out of Sydney with backgrounds in communications and auto accessories. With no previous experience in the accommodation industry, the Stephens excitedly took over The Breakers and have certainly made a name for themselves and their property as both are well know in the accommodation industry.

So to what do the Stephens attribute their success?

“The great team of people that work with us. They are very conscious of high achievement and are continuously striving to make the place present nicely so people can enjoy their stay and make them want to come back, time and time again.”


Breaking The Standards of Luxury

At The Breakers, guests have a choice of Beachfront Cabana, Apartment or Penthouse style accommodation. Perfect for couples and families, the cabanas can sleep up to six people and the three- and four-bedroom penthouses can take six to eight people.

All three styles of accommodation feature fully equipped modern kitchens including microwave and dishwasher, internal washer and dryer, open plan living areas, master bedrooms with en suites, large sunny balconies overlooking the beach, in room telephone line (ISD-STD), cable television and broadband high speed Internet access.

The Beachfront Cabanas are located on the ground level at the front of the main tower and feature three levels with living, dining, kitchen and laundry on the ground level, queen bedroom and bathroom on the second level and the loft bedroom with four single beds on the third level.

The three-bedroom penthouse is located on the 12th floor of the main tower and offers absolute beachfront views. Newly refurbished, this unit features ducted air conditioning, master queen bedroom with en suite bathroom, two more queen bedrooms, a separate bathroom for each plus a powder room, study, kitchen, laundry, dining area and two living areas, one with wall mounted LCD TV and all balconies overlooking the beach.

Also located on the 12th level is the four-bedroom penthouse. Like the other penthouse, this one is also newly renovated and features air conditioning, master queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom, two queen bedrooms and main bathroom plus a powder room, one twin bedroom with two single beds with ensuite bathroom, two living rooms with big screen TV/DVD and a kitchen, laundry and dining room.

The Breakers also offers guests an array of recreational facilities such as a heated outdoor pool, children’s wading pool, outdoor entertainment area, sunbathing lounges, beach facing BBQ terrace and pool area.

Located on Old Burleigh Road, The Breakers is half way between the cosmopolitan hub of Broadbeach with its award winning restaurants, bars and cafes and the buzzing activity and attractions of Surfers Paradise.
