Tablelands resort for sale
Charles Searby, owner of five-star Foxwell Park on the FNQ Tablelands near Cairns, is selling up after receiving crucial development approval to expand the property.
Foxwell Park operated as a restaurant, boutique resort and a small golf course.
Marketing agent Steve Wiltshire said ill health was forcing the owners to sell Foxwell Park between Yungaburra and Malanda. Development approval is in place for 16 luxury spa suites including a day spa with a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage facilities, a function centre suitable for large weddings, seminars and conferences plus10 self- catering cottages totalling up to 50 more rooms. There are also plans for a tennis court and extending the golf course.
The cottages would be maintained by the resort operators and available for guests on a time-share basis.
The asking price is $2.2 million.
