Dunkeld icon for refurbishment

The Royal Mail Hotel in Victorian town of Dunkeld is to undergo further refurbishment.

Following a $700,000 investment in late 2011 to undertake a refurbishment project on 10 deluxe mountain view rooms, a further seven mountain view rooms will be fully refurbished at a cost of $600,000.
With sweeping views of the majestic Grampians mountain range, the Royal Mail Hotel Public Bar will also undergo a $65,000 refurbishment in winter 2013 with a full upgrade of furnishings, the addition of a communal dining table and update of all fixtures and fittings.

General manager Scott Horn confirmed that work would begin next month and is scheduled to be completed by end of August 2013.

Mr Horn said. “The team here enjoy nothing more than being able to offer our guests an enriching experience and help them to create a lifelong memory. It is a credit to our owners (we are wholly privately Australian owned), management and staff that we are able to further strengthen not only our own reputation as a leader in luxury experiences, but also that of regional Australia in becoming a real world player when it comes to luxury travel.”
