Darwin resort investigation continues
Geotechnical drilling was completed last week as part of the development of an island off the Nightcliff coast in Darwin by the Halikos Group.
Crocodile Rock Island [pictured] is just one option for the Nightcliff development for the Northern Territory capital.
Developers will make a decision on whether the project will proceed and Halikos Group managing director Shane Dignan said the company had applied for a Crown lease.
“The lease from the NT Government covers only technical, environmental and financial investigations and feasibility studies for the project,” he said. “If we decide to proceed, we will lodge a notice of intent that triggers an environmental impact study and development application.”
