Unique South Burnett B&B closes

The unique B&B Captains Paddock Vineyard on the Booie Range near Kingaroy closed last weekend.

The B&B, vineyard and cellardoor has been on the market since Easter but when a potential sale fell through on the weekend owners for 12 years Pete Eaton and Maryanne Pidcock announced they would be closing the business.

Don and Judy McCallum planted the first hectare of the vineyard in 1995 and built the cellardoor.

Captains Paddock was named after the McCallum family’s horse, Captain Jack, who used to roam the property until he died at the grand old age of 38.
