Tassie eco lodge up for sale

Tasmania’s pioneering eco-tourism resort, the five-year old Tarkine Wilderness Lodge, is on the market.

Co-owners Maree Jenkins and Richard Summers are asking $2.95 million for the 80ha resort at Meunna on the edge of the Tarkine rainforest. The resort has app¬roval to add 26 cabins to the existing three retreats. Rates of $400 a night apply.

Ms Jenkins said the couple had decided to put the lodge on the market after their 25-year relationship ended. She said they had spent six years building the lodge after acquiring the property more than 20 years ago.
