Rockhampton’s Empire opens its doors
Empire Apartment Hotel, Rockhampton’s newest and largest apartment hotel, is now open for business.
The Empire Apartment Hotel has been a $65 million project nearly two years in the making with 138 rooms in total comprising of 98 one bedroom apartments, plus a selection of two and three bedroom apartments.
“The Empire Apartment Hotel has provided the addition of 120 rooms that will fill the current to medium term void of the accommodation requirements in this region and cements the CBD Riverfront Precinct as the new accommodation hub for the Central Queensland region and joins sister Rockhampton property the Edge Apartment Hotel. This is Rockhampton like you’ve never seen it before!” says Grant Cassidy, managing director.
This is a major development for Rockhampton being the capital of the rich agriculture, education, health, and mining resource hub of Central Queensland and gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef Tourism Region.
Today the full service apartment hotel, with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, stands tall amongst Australia’s longest strip of Heritage-listed buildings in the heart of the Rockhampton CBD Riverfront Precinct, with a 100 person capacity state-of-the-art conference room, a porte-cochère entrance into our lounge foyer with 24 hour reception, an outdoor tropical pool and gym, secure underground parking, and three onsite restaurants and cafes: Ribs and Rumps Steakhouse, The Coffee Club, and Pacino’s Italian Restaurant.
