Ultra Broadbeach

As managers of Broadbeach’s premium holiday accommodation, Ultra Broadbeach, Tammy & Brian Whitehead have been in charge of Ultra Broadbeach for a number of years after being employed into the on site management position by Dreamtime Resorts more than three years ago.

In that time Tammy and Brian have overseen a number of hotel changes.

Tammy said, “The biggest change at Ultra Broadbeach since our last profile is that our two penthouses on the 30th level will be amalgamated into one in the coming months.”

There have however been some novel occurrences in recent times.

Tammy explained, “Some months ago police arrived to apprehend persons suspected of a break and enter, in their haste they ran out the doors leading to our pools and in the dark ended up in the reflection ponds.”

Tammy also said that late last year they were graced with the presence of some Australian celebrities.

“At the end of last year we had Adelaide’s Port Power team stay at the resort for their pre-season training session, we have also had tyre entrepreneur Bob Jane and famous South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes staying here at Ultra.”

Originally from Zimbabwe, Tammy and Brian first became interested in management rights shortly after arriving in Australia more than eight years ago.

Neither of the Whiteheads had any prior knowledge of the industry aside from operating a game ranch and safaris business in Zimbabwe but Tammy said Brian’s extensive background in maintenance has come in handy.

“For years Brian had his own maintenance and handy man business that is a great advantage. He also has an engineering background that helps tremendously when dealing with fire, electrical and pool pump systems.”

Tammy said what originally attracted them to Ultra Broadbeach was, “It was innovative, fresh and modern. It had great facilities to offer guests, roomy apartments with a great aspect and it is so close to so many tourist hot spots.”

While the Whiteheads are still loving the property and enjoying the extensive knowledge they have gained about the management rights industry, when asked if there was any issues they would like to raise in their profile Tammy said, “An issue we’d like to have raised is the lack of research perspective guests do before booking their holidays and their lack of understanding about the term “self contained” and what this does and does not include.”
