Regional Tourism to Meet in Tassie
Launceston will host the Australian Regional Tourism Network Convention next year, according to tourism minister Scott Bacon.
The four day conference will attract 150 regional tourism operators and include field trips to the state’s tourism destinations.
It is likely to be held in August next year.
“Hosting this event in Tasmania will not only provide a welcome boost to accommodation providers, restaurants and other services during the quieter winter months, but its also an excellent opportunity for our own regional tourism sector to develop their personal and business networks and learn more about what’s happening nationally in area of regional tourism,” Mr Bacon said.
