La Vie announces GM roles at new Melbourne properties

Highly experienced duo join company at time of significant growth

Following La Vie Hotels & Resorts’ recent signing of The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood and The Motley Hotel in Richmond, the company has moved quickly to announce the two new general managers taking the helm at each property.

An experienced hotelier and leader in the luxury hotel space, Jeremy Nordkamp  brings over 15 years of local and international experience to his new position at The Motley Hotel.

Prior to joining the property, which opens its doors in early 2023, Mr Nordkamp managed a number of 5-star boutique properties.

These include  the launch of The Calile Hotel Brisbane and Kandima Maldives in addition to having leadership roles at Crystalbrook Vincent, Crystalbrook Riley, Ovolo Laneways, Peppers Dockland and Peppers Beach Club.

Melanie Watson, the new GM at The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood, brings extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry across various management and sales and marketing roles.

This includes leadership roles at Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley, Marnong Estate and Rydges Hotel Bell City and a stint at Flemington Racecourse.

Announcing the new appointments, La Vie Hotels & Resorts Managing Director, Craig Bond said the company was thrilled to welcome the new managers as a time of significant growth for the company in Melbourne.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jeremy and Melanie to the team and know that having such experienced and talented managers leading our teams will see both properties go from strength to strength,” he said.
