40-storey hotel for Perth
Perth could get its tallest hotel soon with plans the 266-room hotel 190 Adelaide Terrace lodged for planning approval.
The 40-storey hotel will be 17 storeys higher than Perth’s current tallest hotel, the Pan Pacific.
The planning application lodged by Donaldson and Warn Architects on behalf of Singapore-based group Amara.
It will feature a restaurant, cocktail lounge and day spa for hotel guests exclusively. The development will also contain a public art gallery on the ground floor, conference facilities and a 465sqm ballroom.
Planners from the City of Perth concluded that the development was generally compliant with regulations and would not impact adversely on local amenities.
