Brisbane’s new TRYP hotel is now hiring

Australia’s first TRYP hotel, based in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, is on the hunt for staff with a difference.

General manager, Warren Cullum said he is looking for a service oriented team with exceptional attitudes, who are progressive and passionate about providing the best experience, and not afraid to bring their individual personalities to the role. The hotel, which is set to open in late July, will be the city’s most exciting hotel stay, according to Mr Cullum, and much of that will be due to the special team of staff he hopes to attract.

TRYP Fortitude Valley is a ‘unique boutique’ 65-room, four storey hotel nearing completion on Constance St. Featuring striking murals and artworks by world acclaimed street artists Magee, Rone and Beastman, when complete the hotel will boast a ground floor restaurant, an executive meeting room and one of Brisbane’s largest rooftop bars.

Along with its striking artwork, the designer hotel will have an exceptional blend of finishes, showcasing elements of Brisbane’s unique heritage, including 150-year-old renewed timber flooring. Rustic elements, contrasted against clean lines and ultra contemporary fittings, will feature throughout the hotel’s guest rooms and social spaces.

“We are looking to partner with staff, with a ‘can do’ attitude that epitomise TRYP’s fun and friendly, Own the City culture. We will be recruiting hospitality professionals who share a passion for showcasing Brisbane as much as they will share a commitment to the TRYP brand and the outstanding customer service we offer,” said Mr Cullum. “If they know The Valley or Brisbane really well it would be hugely advantageous,” he added.

Roles at TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel currently on offer include: front office manager, housekeeping manager, duty manager, reception supervisor, guest service agent and guest service agent (casual), night guest service agent, night auditor, porter, room attendant and maintenance officer.

Owned and developed by Jay McPhee, TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel, Brisbane will be managed by Australian-based Wyndham Hotel Group South Pacific.
