Sophie Sun expressed her excitement about the recognition, saying, “We are so thrilled to be recognised as the Quest Franchise of the Year NSW/ACT. It’s great that the four and a half years of hard work and teamwork have been recognised. We’re so proud of our team and what we have achieved.”
Sophie and Yannick moved to Griffith with their two children four years ago, purchasing Quest Griffith in early 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Quest Griffith was incredibly resilient during the pandemic and managed to not only survive but thrive.
Reflecting on their journey, Sophie shared, “We adjusted ourselves to the local market, focused on the leisure market and adjusted our sales and marketing. We increased the sales from 15 to 20 percent to more than 60 percent occupancy in three months during the pandemic.
“The amazing thing is that we reached the sales record in the pandemic’s first year, even higher than before COVID.”
“This was an incredibly tough time. We had relocated our family to Griffith, with no friends or family, and the pandemic was the toughest time of our lives, and we were so grateful for the support of the Griffith community.”
David Mansfield, Managing Director of The Ascott Limited, Australia, highlighted the significance of the conference and the achievements of the award winners, stating, “Our annual conference is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our franchisees.
“We congratulate Sophie and Yannis and the entire Quest Griffith team on this important recognition.”
As Sophie and Yannick return to Griffith, they bring with them not just a trophy but a renewed commitment to their business and community. Their win is a source of pride for the entire region and an inspiration to other local businesses striving for excellence.
