Robert Hecker honoured with HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award

HICAP has announced that Robert Hecker, Managing Director of Pacific Asia at Horwath HTL, will be honoured with the HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious accolade will be presented to Mr. Hecker at the 34th edition of HICAP, scheduled for October 2024 16-18, at the Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford.
The HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the hotel industry in the Asia Pacific region and globally. Mr. Hecker’s extensive career, spanning 45 years, highlights his commitment to the industry. Since joining Horwath HTL in 1988, he has played a pivotal role in the planning and analysis of numerous hotel and tourism projects across Pacific Asia.

Mr. Hecker oversees operations in key locations including Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Jakarta. His career also includes experience in hotel operations with Pacific Plaza Hotels in California and conducting market and financial analyses for various hospitality and leisure facilities with Laventhol and Horwath in San Francisco. He is a renowned speaker at industry conferences and a published author of numerous research articles.
