The initial phase of the hotel’s transformation has unveiled refreshed public spaces, with the next phase of upgrades set to commence in the coming months
The highly anticipated Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park has officially opened, ushering in a new era of premium hospitality in Sydney’s northwest.
Previously operating as Courtyard by Marriott Sydney North Ryde, the transition to the renowned Crowne Plaza brand under IHG Hotels & Resorts has elevated the guest experience with quality accommodation and modern amenities.
A new standard in hospitality
The initial phase of the hotel’s transformation introduced a refined design refresh across public spaces, enhancements to its restaurant and bar, and upgraded conference and event facilities—seamlessly blending work, leisure, and travel. Guests can expect an inviting and dynamic environment that caters to both business and leisure travellers alike.

A second phase of upgrades is set to begin in the coming months, with an extensive refurbishment of public spaces and guest rooms. The hotel’s lobby and welcome area will be completely reimagined, embracing a contemporary aesthetic with modern furnishings and striking design elements.
The 196 guest rooms will also undergo a complete transformation, ensuring a more comfortable and flexible experience for all visitors.
A prime location for business and leisure
Strategically positioned in Macquarie Park, the hotel offers seamless connectivity to key business hubs, shopping precincts, diverse dining options, and outdoor attractions. Its central location places it just a short walk from the new Metro line, providing a swift 15-minute ride to Sydney’s city centre, as well as easy access to Sydney Olympic Park and Lane Cove National Park.
Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park Hotel Manager, Toby Paul said: “This is an exciting time for Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park as we welcome our first guests. Our vision is to create a destination that appeals not only to travellers but also to the local community and business precincts. Operational excellence will be at the heart of everything we do, ensuring a service standard that our hotel owners, guests, team, and community can take pride in.”

Dining, fitness, and sustainability commitments
Guests can take advantage of the hotel’s fully equipped fitness centre, 24-hour business facilities, and the on-site Bistro restaurant, which offers contemporary Australian cuisine in a stylish setting with alfresco dining options. The hotel will soon unveil further enhancements to its culinary offerings, including a gourmet dining experience led by Bistro’s Executive Chef, Sahil Sabhlok. Among the standout dishes is Chef Sabhlok’s signature Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs with Celeriac, Pickled White Onions, and Mustard, showcasing a fresh take on modern Australian cuisine.

As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to responsible travel, Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park has implemented a range of sustainable initiatives. The hotel is actively working to reduce waste, eliminating single-use plastics, and adopting a ‘prevent, donate, divert’ approach to minimising food waste.
Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park is set to become a premier accommodation choice in Sydney’s northwest. More updates on the refurbishment and new offerings will be revealed in the coming months, promising an elevated hospitality experience for guests and the local community alike.
