Accor Dominates 2025 Skytrax Awards for Airport Hotels in Australia and the Pacific
Pullman Brisbane Airport crowned Best Airport Hotel in the Australia/Pacific region, while Pullman Auckland Airport takes top honours in New Zealand and ranks third in the wider region.
Accor has once again cemented its position as the Pacific region’s leading hotel operator, claiming four of the top six places in the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards for Best Airport Hotels in Australia and the Pacific.
Topping the list, Pullman Brisbane Airport was named Best Airport Hotel in Australia/Pacific, marking its fourth win in five years. The luxury property continues to be a benchmark for excellence, having also been ranked among the world’s top 10 airport hotels in the 2019 and 2022 Skytrax Awards, while Pullman Auckland Airport took top honours in New Zealand and ranked third in the wider region.
Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport, a five-star cultural landmark just 100 metres from the international terminal, has already earned acclaim as New Zealand’s best airport hotel. Designed with Māori principles in mind, the property is a celebration of heritage and hospitality.
Alex Penklis, Chief Operating Officer of Brisbane Airport Hotels Group, said:
“We are incredibly proud to see Pullman Brisbane Airport recognised once again. This award is a testament to the passion and commitment of our team. Since opening, our vision has been to redefine what an airport hotel can offer – combining premium comfort, thoughtful design, and a seamless guest experience.”
Accor’s presence across the top rankings is a clear sign of its momentum in the sector:
-
Pullman Brisbane Airport – 1st in Australia/Pacific
-
Pullman Auckland Airport – 3rd in Australia/Pacific (1st in New Zealand)
-
Pullman Sydney Airport – 5th in Australia/Pacific
-
Novotel Brisbane Airport – 6th in Australia/Pacific
This recognition follows a decade of rapid expansion for Accor’s airport hotel portfolio, which has grown by 144 percent. The group now operates 22 airport hotels throughout the Pacific. Among its most recent openings is the Novotel and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport, a $230 million twin-hotel development that blends accommodation, wellness, and co-working spaces to create a modern airport precinct.

Looking ahead, Accor plans to open the Pullman Perth Airport in 2027—the first hotel on Perth Airport’s estate—further strengthening its national footprint.
Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer for Accor Pacific, said the awards validate the company’s long-term strategy:
“Airport precincts are evolving rapidly, and Accor is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation. Today’s travellers are seeking more than convenience—they’re looking for enriching, memorable stays. Our growing network is built to deliver exactly that.”
With design, innovation, and guest experience at the core, Accor’s airport hotels are reshaping what travellers can expect before take-off or after touchdown.
