Supported by $8 million in funding from the Australian Government, allocated to ATIC’s suite of programs, this initiative is a crucial component of THRIVE 2030, Australia’s national strategy for sustainable growth in the visitor economy, spearheaded by Austrade.

Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell said the new and improved platform was one important step in a broader upgrade of the Quality Tourism Framework.

“Australian tourism operators provide world-class experiences to domestic and international visitors, and the Australian Government is committed to helping them do that,” he said.

“That is why we are delivering our commitment of $8 million over 4 years to supporting the Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) to enhance and improve the QTF.

“Small and medium tourism businesses and their staff, including those in regional areas, work incredibly hard to deliver great visitor experiences and an enhanced QTF will help them boost their capability and respond to consumer needs.”

The revamped QTF boasts a fresh, intuitive interface with a user-friendly dashboard. Streamlined processes allow businesses to enroll in programs tailored to their interests and needs, facilitating easy monitoring of progress. Additionally, users gain access to a wealth of resources to support their applications and ongoing achievements.

With a focus on various business and customer interests such as sustainability, accessibility, and risk management, among others, the updated online platform makes it easier than ever for businesses to refine their offerings and explore new markets.

In partnership with Tourism Industry Councils across Australia, ATIC remains dedicated to advocating for and supporting Australian tourism businesses, playing a pivotal role in the continual advancement of the visitor economy through the QTF.
